More worms less chickens maybe. Use straw or pine mulch rather than leaves? Dont give up but admittedly that is a lot to figure out. I dont want to test my soil for fear of discouragement my numbers may be scary as well.

This looks a lot like mine. The lab recommended I not grow in it. Well, its my only spot so....
Mustard Meal is worth considering; the lab will tell you it doesn't work. My results and published studies say otherwise. I might also suggest drenching with Oxidate, then hitting it with Terragrow. You can grow here with a proper fungicide rotation. The really nasty one is the Verticillium Wilt. Harry told me that solarization is the best remedy for that. Your summer heat is perfect.
